TOTA BAGH - The Garden of Parrots
"Woven Through Time" features Artworks inspired from Phulkari and Punjab. Sometimes these are attempts at reproducing rare heirloom Phulkari patterns that are now no longer popularly crafted and at other times, they are merely flowers, animals, scenes, events that are part of the Punjabi scenery, history and culture.
TOTA BAGH: Literally, "The Garden of Parrots" Artwork is inspired by a 20th century Bagh Embroidery that currently belongs to The Philadelphia Museum of Art in Pennsylvania, USA. This artwork is 18” wide x 24" long; acrylic on canvas and framed with a Phulkari Border.
