BASANT - The Spring
BASANT - Lit. "The Spring" - is a BAGH Phulkari embroidered using Glossy Silk Thread (called: “Patt” in Punjabi). Featuring 850 Wheat-Stalk Motifs in resplendent colors like Saffron, Golden Yellow, Leaf green, Bright pink, Phulkari, "BASANT" Bagh is a celebration of the Spring Season especially because it coincides with the time when wheat is harvested in Punjab. The border comprises of about 655 motifs in the Long Darning Stitch - another popular Phulkari staple! The earthy red toned base-fabric is 100% India Cotton.

Dry Clean Only. Please Iron only on the back, unfinished side of the Phulkari Fabric. The Silk/Polyester Thread may damage both your Handicraft as well as the Hot Surface of the Iron. No Bleach.
